  15.   IntuiNews is a Mail- and Newsreader for the "Universal Message System"
  16. (UMS). While developing this program we paid much attention to the
  17. user interface so it is very easy to use IntuiNews. Nevertheless it offers
  18. features that makes it to a valuable tool while reading and editing
  19. electronic mail and news. So IntuiNews is a useful program for the
  20. absolutely novice and for the experienced user.
  21.  
  22.   As we know, IntuiNews is the first functional Newsreader released for
  23. the Universal Message System and we hope to fill the big gap in the
  24. official UMS software package.
  25.  
  26.   Furtermore IntuiNews is the first larger application that uses the
  27. "Magic User Interface" (MUI) by Stefan Stuntz. We hope that MUI will
  28. become more popular in the future and that more and more applications will
  29. use this very nice system.

  31.   Neither UMS nor MUI are included in the IntuiNews archive. For a
  32. description of how to install this two software packages see the
  33. documentation coming with them.

  38. Changes since version 1.2:

  40. -  several bugs fixed
  41. -  Listviews in Post and Mail Window scroll automatically if new
  42.    entries are added.
  43. -  Other recipients of private messages are shown as "Copy-To:" in the
  44.    Message Window to avoid confusion about the RFC header "Cc:".
  45. -  If you write a message to multiple receipients while the Article
  46.    Window is open all softlinked messages are displayed now.
  47. -  All listviews support multi-select without SHIFT key as default now.

  50. Changes since version 1.2a:

  52. - Requires MUI 2.1 or newer
  53. - some bug fixes
  54. - Multi-select works again like in 1.2.
  55. - Exported flag and message size are now displayed in the article
  56.      window.  If the size isn't 100% correct it's not our fault, blame
  57.      the UMS-Server.  Besides the initalisation of the Article Window
  58.      is done a lot faster now.
  59. - new configuration variable @{"IntuiNews.AnswerTo" Link "CF_UMS_ANSTO"}
  60. - MUI window objects will be created if they are needed for the
  61.      first time not at startup.
  62. - Mail Window has now a distribution gadget, too.
